Basic Blackjack rules

Basics in blackjack

In the game of Blackjack there is always a dealer and between 1 to 4 players. The players bet before the dealer deals the first two cards. Each player get two cards with the face up, the dealer also takes two cards but only one card face up. The aim in blackjack is to get the total score of 21 or to be the closest to 21 without going over. Players can take how many cards they want and is called to “hit”, or the player can choose to “stand” and not take any more cards. If the players score is closer to 21 than the dealer, the player win the same amount he or she bet, except when the player gets Blackjack, which pays 1,5 x the player bet.

If your two first cards are an Ace and a 10, then this is called “Blackjack”. Blackjack beats all other 21:s that are the total score of 3 or more cards. All face cards have the value of 10, cards between 2 and 10 hold their own value. Aces can be counted as 1 or 11. After you got the first two cards there are basically two options to play, if you did not already get a Blackjack.

Note that the dealer has to take another card (”hit”) when dealer holds 16 or lower, and must stand when having total of 17 or more.
